St. Bartholomew the Great and Guildhall

My history of London class took our second field trip this week and went to St. Bartholomew church and Guildhall. To make a long story short, they are both medieval buildings and are beautiful. St. Bartholomew was a monastery built in the 1120s, but was closed down and partly demolished by Henry VIII in 1539. Guildhall was the site of meetings between the Mayor of London and the government in medieval London. It was famously the site of the treason trial of Lady Jane in 1553.

I had to get a creeper picture
of my prof. He cracks me up

Guildhall. The front section was added later and is Indian inspired.

Remnants of a Roman Coliseum that was
originally attached to Guildhall. This exhibit
reminded me of the Hunger Games
